Take a minute to check in with yourself.
Answer a few questions, and we’ll help you get started.
Who are you here for?
How have you been feeling lately?
Which feelings or sensations have you experienced in the last two weeks?
Are you comfortable talking about your feelings and emotions?
What would be the most helpful to you?
Want to try a quick exercise to release tension?
Get Comfortable.
Find a spot that feels good, whether it's sitting, standing, or laying down.
Notice how your body is making contact with the surface beneath you.
A hard floor, a soft bed, a springy chair, or maybe some grass outside.
Take note of the sensations in your body
Starting from the top of your head going all the way down to your toes. What do you notice first?
Listen to your surroundings
What do you notice?
Focus once more on the sensations in your body
Are you holding tension anywhere? Feel free to select more than one.
First, take a deep breath in
As you do that, concentrate on the areas where you felt tension or discomfort.
Then, slowly release the breath
As you release the breath, imagine the tension flowing away from your body.
Next, take an even deeper breath in.
Deeper than any breath you’ve taken all day.
...and exhale.
As you release the breath, blow away any worries or tension or responsibilities keeping you from being here in this moment.
Take a few moments to do this same breathing exercise again.
As you do so, turn your attention to each area where you feel tension or discomfort.
Great job!
Take one or two more deep breaths, and as you start to resume your day, take a second or two to appreciate that you are here, right now, and you are capable of great things.
