What Types of Services Are Available In My Community?

Are you interested in receiving assistance on your journey to emotional wellness but are unsure what assistance actually MEANS? Check out some of the services offered in our community by You Good? coalition members.

After-school and recreational programs provide opportunities for school age children to engage in activities to build confidence and explore various interests related to art, sports, leadership and more. 

Counseling is an opportunity for kids, adults and families to receive emotional support, start the healing process and support positive change and healthy development. Counseling is tailored to your unique needs and experiences and can help foster positive coping skills and relationships, and address depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, loss and grief.

Childcare and preschool programs that promote school readiness, healthy child development and family well-being available in full and part-day centers and home-based options.

Developmental screenings and assistance includes a wide array of services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Employment assistance includes career planning, job placement and related support.

Financial resources includes information and help applying for programs and assistance including Medi-Cal, SNAP, utility subsidies, food and clothing banks.

Health care assistance includes assistance in applying for health insurance like Medi-Cal, selecting a medical home and accessing health care resources.

Housing resources are available to assist families who are experiencing housing insecurity, from emergency assistance to long-term solutions.

Intimate partner violence prevention resources including relationship classes, domestic violence shelters, legal assistance and counseling.

Parenting support groups provide skills-based education, tools and support to parents and caregivers. Topics can range from healthy nutrition to supporting your child’s development to dealing with behavioral issues.

Project Fatherhood, using an innovative support group model, empowering dads to build strong relationships with their children.
